“Get a taste of the Caribbean and feel the passion as you learn How to Salsa!”

Whether you’re in it to Salsa, Mambo, Cha Cha or Rumba, learning How to Salsa is a great experience! These saucy dances have inspired love, passion, and movement across continents. If you think you can handle the passion, then put on the salsa music and get ready for an intense session of salsa dancing lessons!

Okay, first, let’s learn the basic hand placements:

  • The Man takes the Woman’s Right Hand with his Left Hand.
  • The Man places his Right Hand on the Woman’s back.
  • The woman places her Left hand on the Man’s shoulder.
  • The Man and the Woman look into each others Eyes.

Next, the basic How to Salsa Steps:

  • Hold the Beat
  • Step forward with your Left Foot
  • Rock back onto your Right Foot
  • Step back with your Left Foot
  • Hold the Beat
  • Step back with the Right Foot
  • Rock forward onto your Left Foot
  • Step forward with your Right Foot Repeat Step 1

One general rule in salsa is that the woman always mirrors the man’s step. So, while the man performs a forward basic movement, the woman will perform a back basic movement and visa versa.
