“Castle Rock State Park Rock Introductory Climbing Adventure.”

California Rock Climbing is a thrill seeking adventure that will have your adrenaline pumping in no time. But slow down there killer, you have some basics to learn before we go tossing you off a mountain cliff!

This experience gift starts out in Castle Rock State Park in Los Gatos California. With Rock Climbing at Castle Rock State Park you’ll get firsthand experience in outdoor rock climbing. Provided with your personal rock climbing gear, you’ll begin a four hour introduction to the ins and outs of rock climbing.

For your introductory lesson your rock climbing gear will include: rock climbing shoes, rock climbing harness, carabineers, ropes, webbing, cord, belay devices, etc.

Once your rock climbing gear is distributed, your lesson will begin with a short overview on climbing gear and safety to get you familiar your equipment. Next your rock climbing guides will teach you the basics of rock climbing safety, climbing knots, climbing commands, basic top roping techniques, and rope management. Of course, to do all of these things, you’ll be getting a lot of experience climbing rocks!

For a full four hours you’ll be gaining hands on experience on outdoor rock climbing and all the aspects that go along with it. Being aided by your rock climbing guide, you’ll learn how to rock climb in the safest atmosphere surrounded by the most knowledgeable instructors.
