Feel the power? No, it’s not you – it’s the car – but it sure can be a thrill to command the mechanical beast, and makes its powers your’s for awhile.
Some cars make no bones about being a beast. The offer engine noise uninhibited by the backpressure of mufflers. All wide ports, headers and straight fat pipes.
They offer wheels that can’t get going fast enough. They might spin a bit, smoke and lay down some rubber while hunting for friction then traction.
Get it all right and you get G forces pulling you into the back seat . . where this isn’t one.
And that’s just for starters, the second you pull away from the starting lights or line.
Then it’s a matter of holding the beast to a straight line or just the right line on a curved embankment.
Just another day commuting?
If only.
